Godis Grønt

Why this project is important?
The methods used in this project will be hugely helpful for other farms that are trying to find ways to decrease the intensive work load in a market garden while at the same time ensure that the soil is in balance to produce nutritious crops.

Meet team Godis Grønt

@godis_gront

Godis Grønt is a small organic farm 35 km outside of Copenhagen. Since 2018, they have grown more than 60 different crops yearly in a market garden style and sell to more than 150 CSA members and selected restaurants.

With the project funding from Foodprint Nordic they are now able to embark on a journey to develop new regenerative cultivation methods on their farm that will ensure a healthy living soil with a rich variety of micro-organism in and above ground. They will experiment with a cover crop regiment and the use of a one-bed-sawing machine that will make it possible to work with the covercropping before, during and after the main crops.

Another part of the project is  producing their own compost and compost tea, and develop a new custom build electric microlife/compost tea spreader to apply compost in the most efficient way and at the same time decrease the hours of work in otherwise labor-intensive practice.
