Godis Grønt
Scaling Regenerative Practices
Godis Grønt is a small organic farm 35 km outside of Copenhagen. Since 2018, they have grown more than 60 different crops yearly in a market garden style and sell to more than 150 CSA members and selected restaurants.
With continued support from Foodprint Nordic they will test a new cultivation system that allows transplanting directly into a mown cover crop. This approach keeps soil covered throughout the season, reduces tractor passes, protects micro and macro life in the soil, and lowers the need for irrigation and weeding while maximizing photosynthesis.
Godis Grønt will be the first farm in the Nordics to trial this pioneering system.
The project includes side by side trials on their own fields, comparing the new method with standard organic production. They will measure yield, labour hours, soil health and biological activity to understand the potential of this system in a Nordic context and how it can scale and be adopted by other regenerative farms.
The funding allows the farms to acquire a specialized planting machine needed for the trials and to document results that can help move regenerative vegetable production from a niche practice toward wider adoption.
